Meet Jack

Shelley Holland

After a hospitality career in San Francisco, Shelley moved to Jackson in 2001 to pursue hotel development and lead a more outdoor lifestyle.

She teamed up with some of the top local real estate and hotel gurus to develop Hotel Terra, a boutique and Silver LEED certified hotel at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, which opened in 2008. As one of the partners on the project, Shelley was involved in deal structuring, construction financing, brand development, construction management, real estate sales effort, and the formation of the condominium documentation.

Hotel Terra was one the first contemporary boutique hotels at the base of a ski resort, so Shelley worked closely with the architect and interior design team to ensure that the brand, which represents an authentic dedication to sustainability and nature, translated to the interior elements throughout the building and operations.

After opening, Terra won multiple awards and accolades for its LEED certification and design.

Shelley is currently President of the Terra Owners Association and is on the board of the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust. She is also a partner in a local vacation rental company and, along with her husband, is involved in the restoration of three historic buildings in downtown Jackson.

Shelley graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management in 1992 followed by operating roles at Hilton and Intercontinental, as well as a consulting career at PKF/CBRE in San Francisco where she performed appraisals and economic feasibility studies for various types of hotels and resorts.

Shelley currently lives in Wilson with her husband and two daughters. Her passions are skiing deep powder in the backcountry, mountain biking, trail running, dance parties with her girls, drinking good wine, and traveling to unique and local-centric hotels.

We know it.
We’ve got it.
